WORK IN OMAN

Licence to Practice the Profession of Nursing and Midwifery Who can request this service Omani nurses and non-Omanis from inside or outside the Sultanate and Health institutions in the private sector Steps to follow to request the service a. Process steps: :

  1. Submit applications to the Ministry of Health to the Director of the Office of Public Hospitals in the ministry.
  2. Submit applications to serve the private sector to the Director of Public Service Bdarsit private health institutions.
  3. A copy of the biography.
  4. Submit copies of diplomas and certificates of experience.
  5. Audit certification and inspection of the health institution to determine if the applicant's services are necessary to serve in the private sector.
  6. Grant the applicant a visa to visit the Sultanate for a performance test.
  7. Complete a Mobilize Application Form to enter the licence tests Entry fee licensing test.
  8. Pass written and oral tests conducted by the Committee on the Office of the ministry for a candidate is chosen from those who passed the certification process.
  9. Licence is granted and labour card issued

WORK IN KUWAIT

For resident applicants:

  • The applicant must have obtained a scientific certificate in nursing from an accredited institute. The study period in the institute must be, at least, three years following the Intermediate Certificate or an equivalent. The applicant must have, at least, one year of field experience in nursing and three years in obstetrics
  • The applicant must not be younger than (21) years old
  • The applicant must have a valid residence in the country
  • The applicant must be medically fit for work
Required Documents:
  • Scientific certificates in nursing sciences
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Four (4) personal photos
  • Certificate of experience in the nursing field
  • Nationality certificate/civil ID, for Kuwaiti applicants
  • Copy of the passport, for non-Kuwaiti applicants
  • Certificate of registration as a nurse in the Nursing Council of the applicant’s home country, for non-Kuwaiti applicants
Procedure:
  • Visit the Medical License Department of the Ministry of Health and submit the required documents
  • Fill the service application form.
  • You will attend a personal interview,
  • Then , will present in front of the Medical License Committee to perform the medical fitness check-up
  • If you are not a Kuwaiti citizen, send the scientific certificates and certificates of previous experience to the Ministry of Higher Education for equivalency and data verification.
  • After presenting in front of the Medical License Committee and passing the medical fitness check-up, you will obtain a valid residence on the passport, for non-Kuwaiti citizens
  • Pay the fees due to issue the license Note: You may pay the fees due using cheques provided that the cheques are certified by the bank
